Blinc Invest, a venture capital firm located in Mumbai, is dedicated to speeding up India's digital transformation by investing in early-stage startups in the EdTech and FinTech sectors. Established in 2014 by Amit Ratanpal, Blinc Invest has carved out a niche as a sector expert, directing both capital and knowledge into businesses that are reshaping education and financial services in a fast-changing, technology-focused world.

Investment Philosophy and Strategy:

Blinc Invest is dedicated to creating a better future by leveraging technology to develop scalable, impactful solutions in the fields of education and finance. The fund adopts a hands-on, “co-founder” strategy, collaborating closely with the management teams of portfolio companies to foster comprehensive growth—not only in revenue and profitability but also in people, products, and adaptability. The firm mainly focuses on pre-Series A rounds, typically investing between ₹5 crore and ₹20 crore per company. Through its latest Fund-II, which closed at ₹100 crore, Blinc intends to make five to seven investments of ₹10–20 crore each, concentrating on businesses with strong fundamentals and sustainable growth potential.

Portfolio and Impact :

Blinc Invest has deployed over ₹300 crore across 25 companies to date, with a portfolio that includes:

  • Eduvanz: A student loan platform enabling access to education financing.

  • Imarticus Learning: An edtech leader offering industry-focused programs.

  • 1Crowd: A crowdfunding platform for startups.

  • Finagg and Raising Superstars: Other notable investments in SaaS, fintech, and education.

Blinc’s portfolio is a testament to its belief in the transformative power of technology to democratize access and drive inclusion in both education and financial services.

Leadership :

Blinc’s leadership team boasts decades of expertise in investment banking, asset management, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation. Founder Amit Ratanpal, a Harvard Business School graduate, has over 20 years of experience in private equity and capital markets. Other partners have held senior positions at prominent global financial institutions and possess extensive knowledge in strategic development, M&A, and product innovation.

Vision for the Future:

Blinc Invest maintains a positive outlook on the long-term potential of EdTech and FinTech, despite the current market valuation adjustments. The firm is confident that genuine businesses with strong models will succeed and remains committed to supporting founders focused on growth and sustainability. With a solid network of Indian and international limited partners, Blinc is poised to significantly influence the development of the next wave of impactful startups in India and beyond.
